PLEASE left click once loaded to get game focus.
PLEASE also turn your volume up as dialog can be quite quiet.

This is the first game I have tried making, first game jam entered and has been an incredible learning curve.
Not to mention having so many late nights and the most busy work and life weeks imaginable at the same time!

But although I didn't get as close to the vision as I had hoped, I am still incredibly proud of what I have been able to produce.

Anyone testing this, I hope you enjoy it and I welcome any feedback.

Controls:

Keyboard:
Arrow keys / WS - to move forward/backward
Arrow keys / AD - to turn (dungeon mode) and navigate inventory (inventory mode)

Mouse:
Left click - audio annotation of wall placement around player character, checking environment for useful items (dungeon mode) selecting inventory items to use (inventory mode).

Click multiple times for different annotations.
Right click - to open/close inventory

Tried your game and I will give you an honest feedback, so that you can further improve your skills and make great games in the future. At starting I didn't realize the game has started because of black screen. But then a dialogue started after I clicked so it felt cool up till this point. Then I tried to figure things out  but its actually very difficult because  you cannot see anything .So, I used the grid system so at least I know what I am doing. Even with that on it was slightly annoying that left click is used for everything  and you could not traverse very quickly. You can use different keys for different action and make movement snappier although I think you went with it because everything is dark and player will get lost if they moved quickly.

After that I interacted with the door but it said you cannot use it here. At this point and think I figured out how to open the door. So, I went to the cold area and tried to use flint but I could not use the inventory, even the sound that came before that told me that you cannot use it here did not come. So I think that's a bug.

But I really liked that you choose to do something different. The dialogue system was fantastic. But not being able to see anything and know that was happening is a little frustrating.  You can tone down the difficulty because I know we as developers are good at our games, so we have a hard time judging the difficulty. You should ask someone to play test so you can get a good grasp of whether the game is fun, what to change, and in which direction to further improve.

Overall starting the journey is the hardest path. You completed a game, which you made and can share with your friends and family. I think that matters the most. This was your first jam and finishing a game in it is itself an achievement. If you continue you will keep improving and hopefully I will be able to play more of your games. Good Job!!
